Oyo state Police Department has gotten a new commissioner of police in person of Mrs. Ngozi Onadeko.
Being a female, Mrs Onadeko will be the first female to occupy that position in the pacesetter state.
Mrs Ngozi Onadeko has just been posted to take charge and lead the state’s police command, replacing Mr Nwachuckwu Enwonwu, who had lead the state’s police command for over 7 months ago after he took charge from Mr Shina Olukolu.
The order, according to police sources, was given Monday, 11th of January, 2021, by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and is to be carried out with immediate effect alongside other commissioners of police to various commands.
However, the state police public relations officer, who also, was recently promoted to the rank of Chief Suprintendent of Police, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, could not be reached to ascertain and comment on this new development as at the time of filing this report.
